This show will be on view from February 11, - March 9, 2009

Regular gallery hours are 9am-2pm, Monday-Thursday

2009 OCCIDENTAL FILM FESTIVAL

Submit your film to the 2009 Oxy Film Festival!

The Oxy Film Festival is a great place to show your work with the students. Great prizes will be awarded at the festival!

Submitted films must have been made by a student during their time at Occidental. Please submit your film to the "Oxy Film Festival" box in the SAC by March 18th at 6 pm. Your film must be on a miniDV tape or a DVD. Please label your miniDV tape or DVD with your name, email address, movie title, and runtime.

Films must be under 30 minutes and you may submit as many films as you like. No re-submissions will be allowed.

And don't forget to come to the Oxy Film Festival on Wednesday, April 1st. Two showings will take place: at 7:00 pm and again at 10:00 pm!

Middle Eastern Film Series Presents "Promises"

PROMISES follows Israeli-American filmmaker, B.Z. Goldberg through Palestinian refugee camps, Israeli settlements a d neighborhoods throughout Jerusalem where he meets Palestinian and Israel children who live 20 minutes apart but live in completely separate worlds.

Come learn about the physical, historical and emotional obstacles between them. Rather than focusing on political events, the children feature in PROMISES offer a refreshing, human and sometimes humorous portrait of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
